Skills for Space

Join Oxfordshire Advanced Skills (OAS), space sector organisations and enterprises, plus national training providers at the STFC's Visitor Centre on the Harwell Campus for this event focussing on skills gaps and workforce challenges in the UK space sector, in relation to engineering and technical skills.

Guest speakers, and a panel drawn from companies operating in the space sector, together with training providers, will discuss these challenges and take questions.

The event also includes an exhibition, demonstrations and networking opportunities.

Participants already confirmed include: STFC/RAL and Space Skills Alliance, together with hosts, Oxfordshire Advanced Skills (OAS), the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) and MTC Training.

A 45-minute workshop for up to 30 delegates will be provided (by invitation). The aim of the workshop is collaborative thinking to generate ideas and solutions to help to address issues facing the UK Space Sector. Please indicate your interest to take part in the workshop on the registration form.

Lunch and refreshments provided

E xhibitors are requested to arrive from 9am to set up.

This event is free to attend for anyone operating within the space sector and related technical industries such as robotics and automation.

One free place on MTC Training's week-long Space Graduate Development Programme will be offered to each company that attends Skills for Space. (Full details including Terms & Conditions will be confirmed by email to each company attending Space for Skills shortly after the event.)

Please note that as the Visitor Centre is a secure site, you will need to bring ID with you (Driver's Licence or Passport).
