Innovation Exchange Challenge: Installation of Insert Fixtures on Spacecraft
Deadline: Friday 23rd June 2023
The Innovation Exchange programme has partnered with Airbus to identify forward-thinking innovators who can replace the manual process of installing inserts on satellites with a fully automated solution.
This competition is open to:
Established businesses, start-ups, SMEs, individual entrepreneurs, or academia.
UK-based or have the intention to set up a UK base.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to pitch their solution to Airbus.

Call for Climate Service Development
Deadline: Monday 26th June 2023
To help foster climate services innovation, the UK Space Agency are continuing to provide small grants to support the development of pre-commercial UK-based climate services using satellite Earth Observation data. The money can be used by the grant recipient to access either the information or resources needed to progress the development of a proposed climate service, enhance an existing climate service, or reach new customers by expanding a proposed climate service offering.
Funding for projects can be up to £50,000.

NHS Future Hospital Initiative
Deadline: Friday 30th June 2023
The UK Space Agency, in collaboration with the UK National Health Service and the European Space Agency, invites applications for their NHS future hospital initiative. This supports activities that contribute towards providing solutions in terms of products and associated services for the Future Hospital of NHS initiative.
ESA will fund up to 50 percent of the project costs, with the remainder financed by the tenderer or other partners through private or public sector direct or indirect co-financing.

Copernicus Master Competition
Deadline: Tuesday 11th July 2023
Copernicus and the European Space Agency invite applications for their Copernicus Master Competition. This supports projects and business ideas that make use of Earth Observation data primarily generated under the Copernicus programme.
Award amount of up to 10,000 euros with an additional cash prize of 10,000 euros to the winner of the competition.

Space to Innovate – Charlie Drop
Deadline: Wednesday 12 July 2023
The Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) and Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) Space Systems Programme are pleased to launch the Charlie Drop of the Space to Innovate Campaign. The Charlie Drop seeks proposals that can aid UK Defence and Security to develop future space science and technologies.
Charlie Drop follows on from the previous Alpha and Bravo Drops, and offers a broader range of challenge areas to explore novel solutions.

Grants for Studies in Astronomy and Geophysics
Deadline: Tuesday 15th August 2023
The Royal Astronomical Society invites applications for its grants for studies. These support research or study in any area of astronomy or geophysics. Activities eligible include:
Those related to the history of astronomy and geophysics
Conference or meeting travel subsistence
Funding for meeting organising
Instrumentation
Observing and field trips
Study or research projects
Undergraduate summer bursaries
Applications should normally be for sums between £250 and £5,000. Applicants are expected to request match funding from other sources.
