Expression of interest: astronomy large awards
Deadline: Tuesday 31st October, 2023
Provide an expression of interest for astronomy large award funding. The funding is suitable for large awards that are support themed, programmatic large projects tackling big research questions or technology development with the potential to produce world-leading research. Your project must fall within the STFC astronomy remit. STFC will fund 80% of the full economic cost (FEC) for most fund headings.

Public engagement Spark Awards 2023 - round 2
Deadline: Thursday 2nd November, 2023
Apply for funding to engage the public with STFC-supported science, technology or facilities. This funding opportunity is open to a wide range of organisations. You can apply if you’re a UK organisation with an annual financial report and accounts.
Projects must involve a researcher in an STFC-funded area and focus on an area within STFC’s remit:
Astronomy
Solar and Planetary science
Particle Physics
Particle Astrophysics
Cosmology
Nuclear Physics
Accelerator science
STFC Facilities
Award range is between £1000 and £15,000.

Innovate UK BridgeAI: AI Solutions to improve productivity in key sectors
Deadline: Wednesday 8th November, 2023
Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, will invest up to £32 million in innovation projects.
The aim of this competition is to support the development and adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions in the priority sectors of transport, construction, agriculture and creative industries.
Single entities can have grant funding requests of up to £100,000. Collaborations must have a grant funding request between £700,000 and £1.2 million. For both, the grant funding can cover up to 70% of costs depending on project type and business size.

NSIP Kickstarter Call 1
Deadline: Friday 17 November, 2023
The National Space Strategy has set a new vision to make the UK one of the world’s most innovative and attractive space economies. The UK Space Agency invites proposals for emerging and innovative technology research and development.
Grant funding per project is expected to range from £150k to £1m per grant

Thematic call for 'Space for Infrastructure': Energy
Deadline: Sunday 31st December, 2023
This call is part of the umbrella of “Space for Infrastructure” thematic call for proposals.
The second thematic area, Energy infrastructure, refers to the physical structures and networks that are used to transport and store energy. This includes:
Power plants
Transmission lines
Pipelines
Energy storage facilities
Other related infrastructure.

Space for Olympic Games
Deadline: Wednesday 31st December, 2025
The Thematic Call for proposals aims at supporting new space-based services for the digital transformation and sustainability of the sport sector, specifically in the organisation, management, and further exploitation of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. It primarily targets the next Games in Europe - Paris 2024 and Milano Cortina 2026, with the ambition of providing services for the future Games as well, ensuring continuity of the sustainability model.

Direct Negotiation - Generic Programme Line
Deadline: Wednesday 31st December, 2025
ESA Business Applications' Call for proposals (Direct Negotiation) is always open. Businesses from any sector can apply throughout the year, and the amount of funding may vary according to the project. The goal of this activity is for the business to develop a new commercial service that utilises one or more space asset (such as Satellite Communications, Earth Observation, Satellite Navigation, Human Spaceflight technologies and other space assets).
