CEOI 16th Call for EO Technology and Instrument Development Proposals
Deadline: Monday 18th September 2023
On behalf of the UK Space Agency (UKSA, the Centre for Earth Observation Instrumentation (CEOI) is pleased to announce a 16th Open Call for instrument development proposals aimed at significantly accelerating instrument concepts which are new or currently in development. Resulting projects are expected to begin in late summer early autumn 2023 and must be complete by 31st March 2025.

Support for short courses and summer schools
Deadline: Thursday 28th September 2023
Apply for funding to hold short courses, summer schools and online training resources in science or technology.
You must be from an STFC-accredited UK university or research organisation eligible for STFC funding.
Your short course, summer school or online training resource must:
be aimed primarily at STFC-funded PhD students
cover core research activity supported by the STFC studentships programme
The STFC studentships programme covers:
astronomy
solar and planetary science
particle astrophysics
cosmology
particle physics
accelerator science
nuclear physics

Net Zero Living: User focused design
Deadline: Wednesday 4 October 2023
Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, will work with micro, small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to invest up to £3.8 million in innovation projects. These will be to support the net zero agenda.
The Design Council will support the implementation of this competition by providing bespoke support to your project.
The aim of this competition is to support ambitious, early-stage growth businesses in developing your net zero products or services to meet demand.

Announcement of Opportunity ETP - Open Call for Technology - Call Four
Deadline: Tuesday 10th October 2023
The UK Space Agency invites proposals for the Enabling Technologies Programme (Open Call for Technology) Call Four for emerging and innovative technology research and development. Proposals are sought for projects in areas including innovation; innovative technology proof of concept that could result in a significant technological step-change; new technology developments; establishing new academic/industrial research collaborations and feasibility studies targeting emerging disruptive technologies. This call is an open call with no specific technology theme.
Grant funding per project is expected to range from £100k to £250k per grant.

PATT travel grants for competitively awarded observation time
Deadline: Tuesday 17th October 2023
You can apply for travel and subsistence in support of competitively awarded science observation time at astronomy facilities available to the UK research community.
You must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for STFC funding.
Travel grants are funding for groups with travel costs of more than £5,000 a year (application deadline in October each year)
The full economic cost (FEC) of your application must be more than £10,000 over a 2 year period. STFC will fund 100% of the FEC.
