Space Comm 2022: SSTL

Whilst at Space Comm, local company space company SSTL announced that it had signed a contract with EECL, an engineering consultancy providing design, manufacturing and test services to the satellite and aerospace sector. EECL supply low noise amplifiers (LNA) to Surrey Satellite Technology (SSTL) for the front-end receiver of the European Space Agency (ESA) HydroGNSS Scout Earth Observation payload.

This is ESA's second mission of this kind. HydroGNSS will carry out important geophysical measurements to assist in the battle against climate change. The low noise figure of this is important to ensure the HydroGNSS receiver has enough signal sensitivity to be able to help monitor the Earth’s vital signs.
