Space at Southampton 2022
An exciting new publication by the University of Southampton is out now, showcasing some of the inspiring and pioneering space-related research taking place. Space at Southampton 2022 includes an in-depth look at work at the University to enable space-based solar power to become a reality, from clever coatings to absorb the sun’s energy without burning up, to inventing a new type of space reflector, to beaming the solar energy back down to Earth.
Women Entrepreneurship Day 2022
Women's Entrepreneurship Day is on the 19th of November. This month, Britain is expected to make an incredible aerospace breakthrough. For the first time ever, a satellite will be fired into orbit from a launch pad in the United Kingdom. Along with it, many great projects will begin here on earth, one of which belongs to Dr. Ian Hendy, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Science & Health, School of Biological Sciences at the University of Portsmouth.
